Gordion Shopping Center

REDEVCO Turkey created the Gordion Shopping Center in the Turkish capital Ankara. The centre provides some 50,000 sq.m. of gross lettable space. The site is ideally located at the edge of the Çayyolu district, one of Ankara’s wealthiest and fastest-growing neighbourhoods.

With its state-of-the-art design, the scheme is a landmark project in Ankara. Besides the anchor stores Carrefour Express, Cinebonus, Electroworld, Zara, Marks & Spencer and C&A, the centre also houses important national and international brands such as GAP, Massimo Dutti, Mango, Mudo, LC Waikiki, İpekyol, Beymen Business, Apple, Swarovski and Sephora.

The Gordion Shopping Center has been rated “Very Good” by BREEAM. REDEVCO aims to assess all its new development projects using green building standards. REDEVCO has selected the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) for this, an internationally accepted standard for best practice in sustainable development.

The Gordion Shopping Center opened on 17 September 2009 and the extension will open in the third quarter of 2011 with a Do-it-Yourself concept, along with other important concepts.
