The Leaf Shopping in Ternat, Belgium, a re-development of Redevco, announced its future tenants. The 28,000 sq. m. retail park, scheduled to open, autumn this year, will be the home to a variety of retailers ranging from DYI and a supermarket to fashion and F&B.
DIY giant Brico Planet, opened its doors already in February, which successfully concluded phase one of the construction works that started in March 2017. The current Brico Planet comprises 12,000 sq.m. of brand new shopping space. The other retailers that are scheduled to open are: supermarket Albert Heijn, Leen Bakker (home deco), Action (Household), fashion retailers Bel&Bo, LolaLiza, JBC, GIKS, Torfs, Brantano Market, electronics & multimedia store Vanden Borre and restaurant Lunch Garden.
The Leaf building works started at the end of March and the opening is scheduled for the autumn of 2018. The project aims to foster sustainability and aspires to obtain a BREEAM Excellent rating. The sustainable materials will be selected according to the Cradle-to-Cradle® principle. The space alongside cycle and footpaths will be enhanced through green roofs and large areas with local vegetation. At the entrance of the site there will be a public park.
