Building homes for the future

The core of cities are the people who live there. As the population is increasing, cities must adapt to accommodate growth. One of the challenges is to provide quality housing suitable for a changing demographic with a wide variety of households. For Redevco, in line with its mission to enrich communities, creating suitable, sustainable homes that cater for different audiences, is a key growth investment area.

Investing sustainably

Whether it is a greenfield development, or we are redeveloping an existing asset, we always look to invest and develop in the most sustainable fashion. In our ambition to ensure the asset we manage will be Net Zero Carbon by 2040, we seek solutions to reduce energy consumption and to use renewable energy sources. We will look at the building fabric, the building services and how the building is managed. When we design a project, in collaboration with our partners, we make sure that it will adhere to our urban living philosophy in which nature, simplicity, intimacy, and connection play a central role.

Leisure

We intend to grow our space in the living sector in Europe including senior living, purpose-built student accommodation, and urban living. We also focus on turning outdated buildings in centric urban locations into sustainable, innovative and affordable tourist accommodation, playing to travel and consumer trends. Redevco has entered the European hotel market with investments in Lisbon, Bilbao, Seville, Porto, and Malaga to seed the launch of Redevco’s ‘Next Gen Stays’ joint venture platform. Next Gen Stays fits Redevco’s strategic focus on creating vibrant places in dynamic urban locations, and thereby enriching communities.

Our projects

The built environment, responsible for more than 30% of global energy consumption, has a responsibility to find solutions and reduce carbon emissions. We believe that we can make a significant impact by improving the environmental performance of our assets under management.

High-rise, high-impact in Rotterdam

By 2026, Rotterdam’s skyline will be transformed by the striking Baan Tower, an architectural, sustainable landmark rising 159 metres high and delivering 429 rental apartments that redefine urban living. Residents will enjoy amenities that elevate everyday life from a rooftop pool and garden that foster biodiversity, to shared spaces like a gym, library-workspace, and a neighbourhood restaurant—all designed to enhance wellbeing and connection in the heart of the city.

Transforming a suburban office area

Redevco is transforming a well-located suburban office area into a new urban neighbourhood. Amsterdam’s metro stop areas outside the ringroad have become popular for urban residents looking for living space just a few minutes away from Amsterdam’s historic city center. With Entrada, Redevco is creating an accessible and integrated residential neighbourhood precisely for this group of people. As we define a strategy for this area, we see potential for multiple concepts, including urban living.
