Planning milestones reached for Entrada development (Amsterdam area)

Ouder-Amstel, 9 March 2026 – Two important steps have been taken for the Entrada area development. The municipal council of Ouder-Amstel adopted the Urban Development Plan on 5 March. The developing parties, Redevco (acting as delegated developer for its shareholders, including Focus on Impact) and EDP, and the municipality of Ouder-Amstel have signed an anterior agreement.

Now that these two important milestones have been reached, all parties involved will energetically work on the further elaboration and preparation of the spatial procedure(s). The goal is to enable the first start of construction as soon as possible, expected in 2027.

Area development Entrada
Entrada is an integrated area development, right next to the Van der Madeweg metro station in Ouder-Amstel. The total plan consists of almost 108,000 m² of gross floor area and provides for 1,363 homes spread over different rental and owner-occupied segments. In addition to homes, there will be various facilities, including a school and consultation office, a general practitioner and pharmacy, plus catering and meeting places. The area will also be car-free with a new ground level and an underground parking garage for (shared) cars and bicycles, which contributes to a sustainable and liveable environment.

Housing corporation Lieven De Key will purchase 407 social rental homes and 67 rental homes in the middle segment. Lieven de Key and Redevco signed a letter of intent for this in November 2025.

Victor Frequin, alderman for Ouder-Amstel: “The realisation of 1,363 homes, divided between the social segment, the middle segment and the free sector, is really a huge step for Ouder-Amstel and wonderful news for our residents. For Duivendrecht specifically, the project will create a nice connection with the Van der Madeweg station. With the new residents, the shops on the Dorpsplein will be further supported. Linked to a green living environment and good facilities, that makes not only me but the whole of Ouder-Amstel very happy.”

Steven Zeeman, Investment Director, Redevco: “The adoption of the urban plan and the signing of the anterior agreement mark an important step in Entrada’s development process. We are proud to have reached this milestone together with the municipality and our partners. With Entrada, we are giving concrete substance to our mission to create sustainable value with real estate for both investors and society, by bringing together affordable housing, facilities and a high-quality, sustainable living environment.”

Sanjay Agarwal, EDP: “From the first moment I saw Entrada, I wanted it to be a vibrant, thriving, multi-target residential ecosystem that allows for harmonious coexistence. I am pleased that with the support of the municipality and our close cooperation with Redevco, we are making this progress on the path to realisation. This milestone puts wind in our sails.”
