Between 2022 and 2025, Redevco Germany successfully carried out a comprehensive revitalization of the Äppelallee Center in Wiesbaden, acquired in 2021 for the fund Redos Einzelhandel Deutschland III. All modernization measures were implemented during ongoing operations, ensuring uninterrupted access for visitors and tenants.

Originally built in 1969 and expanded in 2010, the center’s external appearance had become outdated. A full redesign of the main façade and the introduction of a unified advertising concept have significantly enhanced the visual appeal and identity of the retail park.

A major milestone was the transformation of the former real,- space (approx. 18,000 m²). The upper floor (4,000 m²) was structurally separated and converted into a new rental unit, now home to Xtrafit. The remaining space is now occupied by Kaufland and Decathlon, strengthening the center’s retail mix.

Further optimisation included the reduction of Media Markt’s footprint by 1,000 m², creating space for a new retail unit. Rossmann finally opened their store in April 2025.

In line with our ESG strategy, the site is being equipped with electric vehicle charging stations, and a PV system with a tenant electricity model is currently in planning. Numerous energy-saving measures have already been implemented, with further technical upgrades to follow.
