Redevco Logistics expands IOS platform with the acquisition of UK logistics facility in Widnes

  • Redevco expands its logistics Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) footprint to 5.2 million sq ft and €155m AuM
  • Strategic UK acquisition supports Jaguar Land Rover’s supply chain operations
  • The acquisition drives further deployment into a supply‑constrained sector with strong rental growth potential

London, July 29, 2026 – Redevco, one of Europe’s largest privately owned real estate managers, acquired a logistics fleet facility in Widnes, UK, comprising approximately 560,000 sq ft across a 17-acre site. The acquisition further strengthens Redevco’s logistics footprint in Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS), expanding it to 5.2 million sq ft and €155m AuM across 11 assets. The facility is fully let to Jaguar Land Rover and operated by DHL, supporting supply chain operations linked to JLR’s Halewood manufacturing plant in the Northwest of England. The asset provides a combination of warehousing and vehicle maintenance functions, reflecting its critical role within the wider automotive logistics network.

Hugh Macdonald-Brown, Head of Redevco Logistics: “This acquisition is a strong addition to our growing logistics platform and underlines our conviction in the IOS sector. Assets of this scale, location and tenant quality are increasingly scarce, yet essential to the efficient functioning of supply chains. The Widnes facility combines strategic connectivity with a high-quality occupier, supporting long-term income resilience and future growth potential.”

Strategically located adjacent to the Inland Rail Freight Terminal in Widnes, the site benefits from direct connectivity to key transport infrastructure, enabling efficient distribution and fleet management activities. The asset has recently been refurbished as a build-to-suit facility for Jaguar Land Rover and comprises warehousing and a vehicle maintenance unit, covering 11% of the site.

The transaction highlights continued institutional demand for large-scale, mission-critical IOS assets, particularly those that are difficult to replicate due to planning constraints and limited land availability.

To date, Redevco Logistics has transacted more than €500 million in IOS assets across the UK, Germany, Spain and Belgium, spanning over 16 million sq ft. The firm continues to deploy capital into a sector characterised by strong demand fundamentals and constrained supply, supporting near-term rental growth opportunities.

This acquisition represents a further step in Redevco’s ambition to build a diversified, pan-European platform across complementary real estate sectors, including retail parks, logistics, and real estate debt aligned with its long-term investment approach.

Savills, Wildbrook, Air BC and Osborne Clarke advised on the acquisition.
