Building homes for the future

The core of cities are the people who live there. As the population is increasing, cities must adapt to accommodate growth. One of the challenges is to provide quality housing suitable for a changing demographic with a wide variety of households. For Redevco, in line with its mission to lead the transformation of cities to ensure they are sustainable and liveable, creating (rental) sustainable homes that cater for different audiences, is a key growth area.

Building sustainably

Whether it is a greenfield development, or we are redeveloping an existing asset, we always look to build in the most sustainable fashion. In our ambition to ensure the asset we mange will be Net Zero Carbon by 2040, we seek solutions to reduce energy consumption and to use renewable energy sources. We will look at the building fabric, the building services and how the building is managed. When we design a project, in collaboration with our partners, we make sure that it will adhere to our urban living philosophy in which nature, simplicity, intimacy, and connection play a central role.

Transforming a suburban office area

Redevco Living is transforming a well-located suburban office area into a new urban neighbourhood. Amsterdam’s metro stop areas outside the ringroad have become popular for urban residents looking for living space just a few minutes away from Amsterdam’s historic city center. With Entrada, Redevco Living is creating an accessible and integrated residential neighbourhood precisely for this group of people. As we define a strategy for this area, we see potential for multiple concepts, including urban living.
