Mixed-property in Bielefeld fully let

Düsseldorf, 8 November 2021 – Over the past few years, Redevco Germany has developed the property in Bielefeld formerly known as “SinnLeffers-Haus” into a mixed-use and multi-tenant asset. The property at Bahnhofstrasse 23 was extensively refurbished; the adjoining part of the building at Arndtstrasse 2b was demolished and rebuilt. The space from the basement to the 2nd floor is let to the fashion chain NEW YORKER, the department store WOOLWORTH, the sports goods supplier DECATHLON, the drugstore chain MÜLLER, the fitness chain EASYFITNESS and the restaurant chain HANS IM GLÜCK.

IU INTERNATIONALE HOCHSCHULE has now secured the last remaining space of around 1,300 m² on the 3rd floor of the now fully let property. After the building permit was granted, the extension work for the offices and lecture halls has recently begun. The private university of applied sciences is expected to start teaching at its new location in Bielefeld in February 2022. Like all other leases, the contract with IU has a long term.
